If you like swing, line or square dancing, the Western Dance Hall is a good choice for a night out. A DJ plays all your dance favorites from 9pm to 3am; beginners can come early for the free West Coast Swing and line dancing lessons (classes offered from 7:30pm to 9pm). As you might guess, Western paraphernalia adorns the walls leading into the large Western-themed dance hall. Sunday is karaoke night. Sam’s Western Dance Hall can be a refreshing break from the smoky, to-cool-for-life nightclubs that have cropped up all over Las Vegas. Granted, chances of finding a “partner” to take home for the evening are rather slim, but you never know what might happen with the right accent, shiny boots and charming persistence.
