Named after the Egyptian sun god, Ra offers 19,000 square feet of dance-crazed entertainment. The club is centered on a spacious laser-beam-lit dance floor that is surrounded by countless booths and tables where visitors can drink before they groove. Check out the two cigar bars, which are always filled with misinformed conventioneers and pretentious slicksters puffing on cigars and lapping up dry martinis. Music ranges from all types, from 70s disco to the latest rap and techno. DJs from all over the west coast spin here. RA features a variety of special events as well. Be sure you know the dress code before showing up, as it is strictly enforced. A mixed crowd of locals and visitors frequent this dark and expansive club that always has a party atmosphere. So, if you're an avid club-hopper, RA is worth the cover charge ($10 women, $20 men; ladies from Vegas admitted free with ID, excluding show nights). However, if you're simply looking for a night out, and you want to be able to hear yourself think, there are many other, less expensive clubs in Vegas. Dress code; ages 21 and over only.
