Madame Tussaud's is an intriguing museum where visitors can mingle with their favorite movie stars, be counted amongst world leaders, or get a photograph or two with popular sports heroes. Actually, the celebrities are made of wax, but you'll be surprised at the incredible resemblance these figures bear when compared to the real life personalities. The wax figures are amazingly lifelike and, if you get caught in the museum when it is crowded, you may not be able to tell who is real and who isn't. Located inside the Venetian Casino Resort on the second and third floors of the replica of St. Mark's Library, Madame Tussaud's is a 30,000-square-foot wax museum featuring more than 100 wax figures displayed in various themed settings. Naturally, a number of the figures have Vegas connections, with personalities ranging from Frank Sinatra to Tom Jones to Elvis. Visitors to the museum can explore six themed areas: The Big Night, a Hollywood style gala; The Sports Arena, which includes the fantasy boxing match of the century; Behind the Scenes, a look at the history of Madame Tussaud's; Rock and Pop, where some of music's greatest stars take the stage in an epic concert; Las Vegas Legends, which features the lifelike figures of Vegas' famous performers; and Spirit of America celebrating great Americans. Popular figures displayed throughout the museum range from Harrison Ford and Sylvester Stalone, to Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, and Barbara Streisand.
