Originally designed like an old showboat (as in Atlantic City) Harrah's today has an atmosphere best described as European Carnival meets Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Old posters and murals from European festivals adorn the walls and, surprisingly, the campiness has been kept to a minimum. The resort offers 2,613 themed rooms and suites, seven distinct dining outlets, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, a fitness room, a beauty salon, and retail options. Entertainment here also is exciting. There are several showrooms playing host to a variety of stage performances. And if you haven't laughed enough at the said productions, consider a night at the Improv - the resort's comedy club. The rooms are decorated in light colors with marble fixtures. They are large enough to offer a couch and a table, but if you ask most parents, the best feature is the Nintendo game system in every room. Poker players will enjoy the eight-table poker room, just as the Keno players will enjoy the Keno parlor.
