The Clark County Heritage Museum captures the history of southern Nevada with exhibits chronicling the exploration, settling, and industrialization of the region. Numerous displays take visitors back in time offering insight into Nevada history, including exhibits on Indian cultures, historical replicas and ghost towns of the area.
Museum highlights include Heritage Street, a unique collection of historic homes, restored to recreate the lifestyles of important periods in local history; a replicated 1900s newspaper print shop; a 1932 Boulder City Depot complete with a genuine 1918 Union Pacific steam engine; and an old-time Crummy, (caboose). A mining exhibit offers a look at mineral specimens. Visitors also can explore a resurrected ghost town and half-mile nature trail.
