The Good
- Mike Tyson fights here so you will never know what you get.
- The biggest events in Las Vegas happen here or at Caesar's Palace.
- Elegant atmosphere covers the entire casino.
- The MGM Showcase located directly nest door is a gold mine including: Sega Game works, The world of Coca Cola, M & M World and a state United Artist Theater.
- Decent poker room and excellent sports book.
- The MGM Grand has two of the best restaurants in all of Las Vegas Emeril's(Emeril Lagasse) and Gatsby's.
- They have a near full size amusement park in back of the place making it a great place to stay with kids.
- Big screen 25 foot TVs playing James Bond movies and other movies scenes make it an exciting casino to gamble in.
- EFX starring various celebrities has been one of the top production shows in Las Vegas for years.
- The Rain Forest Cafe is a unique twist on the themed restaurant.

The Bad
- Prices can be high during peak times.
- It is located a good distance form the convention center.
- The tram offered to Bally's is very slow and it would be almost as fast to walk.
- Tickets for entertainment are on the expensive side, but not as expensive as Cirque Di Solei and Sigfried and Roy.

The Ugly
- The entranceway from the strip to the MGM Grand used to be a lion's mouth, but Asian gamblers were scared off by the symbolism of it. So MGM removed the lion's mouth and replaced it with an elaborate, less symbolic entrance.
- Professional wrestling finds its home at the MGM with Ted Turner, owner of WCW, holding its Halloween Havoc here for the past couple of years.
